A.I.R DIR PIR
AIR - Audio Interview Recorder

AIR - The Audio Interview Recorder is a portable digital audio recorder for evidential and disciplinary interviews.

AIR guarantees faultless recordings of up to four CD’s or DVD’s for a duration of up to six hours. Operation is user friendly on-screen instructions. A variety of built-in safety features provides a reliable recording solution and a  permanent record.

Interview Recording
For many years, the recording of interviews has been carried out using analogue cassette recorders.

Although these machines served their purpose well, they no longer have a place with  today's technologies. Furthermore, there are a vast number of benefits that can be gained from the implementation of these new digital solutions.

AIR is a digital audio recording solution that has been designed for Criminal Justice and commercial organisations that want to capture, archive and manage digital recordings of audio interviews.

This simple to use, two button control recording device is an ideal choice for Police, Criminal Justice Organisations and Disciplinary Hearings that need high quality recording performance and reliability.

The recorders have been designed as a direct  replacement for legacy analogue audio recorders and meet all audio interview recording requirements under UK PACE and Home Office guidelines, whilst still being straight-forward to use if your requirements are not so rigid.

AIR's greatest feature is its ease of use, other benefits of AIR are:

  • The recorder's user friendly on-screen instructions guide the user through the recording process.
  •  The built-in safety features ensure a reliable recording and a permanent record - the AIR puts the attention back on the interview
  • Minimal training is required, enabling the user to begin recording immediately, with no need to read through a manual

Reliable
The fail-safe operation ensures that any required media is present and blank, and that the included microphones are providing the appropriate range of audio levels before a recording starts.

In the event of power loss the AIR will recover any recording that was interrupted, allowing the interviewer to continue if appropriate or write the current progress to the media.

Your recording is never lost.

The AIR’s screen shows a recording in progress and microphone level indicators

Convenient

  • Direct replacement for analogue recorders.
  • Simultaneous archiving to hard drive and network
  • No more rewinding and fast forwarding of cassettes
Networked
In addition to its reliable recording capabilities, the AIR is network-ready, allowing optional integration into the networked evidence system for real time uploading of recordings and keyboard input of meta-data.

Benefits of AIR's include:
  •  Recordings admissible as evidence in court
  • Replay using standard computer
  • Ease of use with only two buttons
  • Options for network-based transcription
  • Fail-safe operation
  • Options for network recording back up
  • High quality of audio
  • UK Manufacturer
