Digital dictation is a direct replacement for tape-based, analogue voice recorders.

We understand that it is very difficult to manage tapes, With
a better sound quality means less strain on the typist and fewer mistakes.

Tapes wear out. Digital recording media doesn’t. So not only is the recording on digital going to be of a higher quality than analogue, but each duplicate file is going to be of exactly the same high quality as the original.

Recorders with no motors, belts or wheels
Digital recorders are ‘solid state’. Apart from the necessary buttons, there are no moving parts.  So no motors to wear out our run slow. No belts to break or wheels to run down. No chance of dirt ruining a recording.  You simply press ‘record’ and produce a first class, clear recording each and every time.

Hours of Recordings
Tapes are usually recorded to a time limit.. Digital allows you hours and hours  – without the annoyance of changing tapes.

Security backups
Because digital files are so easily copied, it’s simple to keep a copy on your PC or an archive copy for longer term security.
Tapes can get lost and can be overwritten in error. Once properly backed up, digital files are safe.

Send voice files instantly – worldwide
You can send voice files wherever you need to.
That might be within your office, over your network or to another office for transcription. With digital technology, he choice is yours.

Long battery life
A digital recorder has no motors to consume battery power. So not only can the batteries in a digital recorder be smaller, but they’ll also last much longer too.

Compactness
Digital recorders are much more compact than their analogue counterparts. So that’s less bulk in your briefcase, pocket or handbag. Less space taken up on your desktop. And if it’s less bulky, your more likely to have your digital Recorder with you always – ready for use should the need arise.

Insertions
Insertions into Recordings Of course you can’t insert a section into a tape recording. With digital recording, you can. So if you forget a sentence, section or paragraph it’s usually a simple task to insert it at the right point
.

Digital recording devices are smaller; lighter; and have a longer battery life.

Most importantly, they produce digital sound files that can be transferred and then processed over a computer network.

What this means is simple – the process can be managed.
